This site is a showcase for the work of Ian McGrogan.
While a lot of the pieces I make are with local native timbers such as Kauri, Rimu and Rewa rewa, I really enjoy trying getting to work with other non native species from time to time. I'm lucky to have a wood supplier who sends me all sorts of different and interesting woods to play with. Receiving a new delivery of wood is like Christmas morning!!...except Santa drives a courier van and struggles down the driveway with 20+ kilo boxes wood tied up with string.
This regular event is often heralded with a few verses of that old Christmas classic "MOre wood?..Don't you have enough already?!?!" and/or " "Don't leave it lying there!!"
